It was a very busy 2006 for Bircham Dyson Bell head
of projects Robbie Owen.
During the past 12 months Owen has overseen
the growth of his team to reach 30 lawyers,
including 10 partners, with the addition of half-adozen
juniors throughout the year.
Acting as parliamentary agent, Owen secured
more than 100 objectors as clients out of the 300
total petitioners against the Crossrail Bill.
Owen also led the firm on its successful panel
appointments to both English Heritage’s and the
London Development Agency’s roll of advisers.
And as if that was not enough, the firm also won
significant mandates from Mid Kent Water,
Docklands Light Railway and Transport for London,
which the firm is advising on the £500m
redevelopment of Victoria Station.
No wonder the firm enjoyed a record year, with
turnover hitting the £30m mark for the first time.
