| As London managing partner of New York-based
LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae, Peter Sharp has
guided the insurance and energy specialist into the
big league for London offices of US firms.
Sharp has overseen a 42.5 per cent increase in
London turnover for 2005, with the firm collecting
some £27.9m, or 11 per cent, of its total revenue of
£251.4m. And as more laterals come on line, a
similar result for 2006 is not out of the question.
Lateral recruitment has been a key pillar of
LeBoeuf’s London growth, and Sharp, as a member
of the firm’s executive committee, has the influence
to keep London at the forefront of the New York
partners’ minds.
In the past year Sharp has orchestrated a number
of key lateral hires, including the trio of real estate
and environmental partners from Freshfields
Bruckhaus Deringer, while others have come from
Linklaters and Denton Wilde Sapte. |
