| Peter Jackson secured his place in The Lawyer Hot
100 2007 by helping broker one of the key mergers
of last year.
Elected to managing partner late in 2005, Jackson
was at the helm when, in spring 2006, Hill Dickinson
broke through the £50m turnover barrier for the first
time, posting a 16 per cent income rise to £52.5m.
Four months later the turnover was given another
boost, when the North West firm returned to its
roots by announcing its merger with shipping
specialist Hill Taylor Dickinson. The 1 November
2006 deal created a £69m business.
Part of Jackson’s rationale for the merger was to
illustrate a continued commitment to strengthening
the firm’s London office. He was rewarded with the
retention of his role in the combined firm, Hill
Dickinson. Job done. |
