Banking specialist Neel Sachdev is one of Kirkland &
Ellis’s youngest partners. Sachdev joined the US firm
in 2003 after qualifying at Freshfields Bruckhaus
Deringer in 2000. Since then he has risen quickly up
the ranks, making partner in 2006.
Sachdev counts Bain Capital as a key client
and has acted for the private equity house on
all of its recent European leveraged transactions.
These included advising it on its €1.5bn (£1bn)
acquisition of chemical distributor Brenntag
and its €1.2bn (£10.8m) acquisition of FCI
Framatome.
Sachdev’s other clients include TowerBrook
Capital Partners, Vestar Capital Partners, Industri
Kapital and Sun Capital Partners.
