| Norton Rose had a storming year on AIM in 2006
and now advises more than 50 clients on the list.
That strong showing was in no small part down to
corporate finance partner Julian Stanier.
Made up in 2004, Stanier has cultivated some
important relationships for the firm. These include
Evolution Securities, the nominated adviser with
which Stanier has worked since 1996, his first deal
as a newly qualified lawyer.
Most recently Stanier advised Evolution in relation
to the accelerated AIM IPO of Inspired Gaming
Group, raising £108m. Other standout deals last
year include the IPO of Geopark, the Argentine and
Chilean gas exploration company that floated on
AIM with a market capitalisation of £100m in May
2006.
Just as AIM has been promoting itself around the
globe to foreign companies, Stanier has been
endorsing AIM and the benefits of cross-border
collaboration to other Norton Rose offices. He is off
to Sweden this January with the LSE to speak to
financial advisers and corporates. Off the back of a
similar trip to France, Norton Rose won the role
advising on the IPO of ToLuna in May 2005.
