Wilberforce Chambers is enjoying one of its most
prosperous periods, with revenue per barrister
reaching in excess of £550,000 last year.
With Jules Sher QC taking over the reins from
legendary head of chambers Edward Nugee
QC, who led the set for more than 30 years,
the good times are likely to continue.
Sher, who last year acted for former Equitable
Life non-executive David Wilson on the longrunning
Equitable Life negligence trial, was elected
as the chambers’ new head after a 10-day voting
process.
No doubt he will bring his considerable wit and
experience to the role, developed over the course of
a legal career spanning five decades. |
