Herbert Smith finance chief Jason Fox’s ambitious
strategy seems to be paying off. Since his
appointment as head of finance in 2005 he has
given the firm’s finance practice an injection of
deal-doing energy.
With Fox at the helm the firm has secured new
clients including ABN Amro, Lehman Brothers and
Royal Bank of Scotland on the securitisation/
structured finance side. The London group’s
turnover has shot up by 20 per cent to £21.2m
during the 2005-06 financial year, beating the firm’s
own target of £19m.
With Fox only in the second year of his tenure, the
future looks bright for the Herbert Smith finance
team. The results speak for themselves.
