11 South Square’s Iain Purvis is perhaps the first
and only barrister to herald his arrival as a new QC
in the High Court with a blast of the organ solo from
Procul Harum’s A Whiter Shade of Pale.
Purvis’s first mandate as a QC was as lead counsel
to ex-Procul Harum band member Matthew Fisher
in his High Court fight for a slice of the band’s
royalties, winning the work through contacts at
niche media firm Jens Hills & Co.
IP all-rounder Purvis is no stranger to high-profile
cases, having gained plaudits while acting for The
Burnden Group in its mammoth three-month
patent trial against Ultraframe.
The young QC will be essential to 11 South
Square’s success in the future. |
