Martin Cotterill, an associate at Latham & Watkins' London office, has been a hugely successful member of Andrew Moyle's outsourcing team, which arrived from Shaw Pittman in 2003.

Cotterill is slated for partnership at Latham in 2006 after completing a string of deals last year, including an innovative £87.5bn asset management deal for new client Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) with US bank State Street. The deal was one of the first to formalise an inter-bank asset management deal as an outsourcing transaction. Cotterill, advising SWIP, led on the deal.
