What a difference a month makes. On Valentine’s Day last month we told you that Cobbetts’ debt recovery business Incasso had found that special someone. But less then a month on and the honeymoon period seems to have ended, with Incasso staff put into redundancy consultation.
While those involved are keeping the challenges of their relationship under wraps, an HL Legal spokesperson confirmed that job cuts are possible, saying the company was “currently reviewing the business and consulting staff appropriately”. This was after a little badgering from our side, with one HL staffer telling us, in more polite words, to mind our own business last night.
So with both HL and Incasso remaining tight-lipped, it’s hard to see where the relationship is going. Let’s hope this is just a bump in the road for what could still be a happy marriage.
