The London Law Fair is to take place this autumn, offering undergraduates and graduates interested in a career in law a chance to meet employers from across the legal sector.
The free event, taking place on 27 November, is London’s only open access law fair, meaning that students and graduates from any university can attend. Students are encouraged to bring their CVs to the event, which will be attended by a range of employers including magic circle law firms.
The fair is themed around promoting diversity in the legal profession and is being organised by the London Law Fair Consortium, made up of CILEx, CILEx Law School, the University of East London, London South Bank University, London Metropolitan University and Kingston University.
Jackie Trench, graduate recruitment specialist at Clifford Chance, said: “Our future trainees will come from an incredibly wide variety of degree disciplines and academic institutions. Having a law fair which is open to all allows us to engage with students that are keen to find out more about Clifford Chance and the opportunities available to them.”
Noel Inge, managing director of CILEx Law School added: “This event is designed to match talented individuals with progressive employers who want the best recruits, irrespective of their backgrounds.”
Second year law students at The City Law School are being offered the chance of an international arbitration summer internship with Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr’s London office (15 May 2013).
