Holman Fenwick & Willan’s Hong Kong office has strengthened its admiralty practice by appointing a new admiralty partner.
John Dillon is joining from Ince & Co, where he managed its admiralty practice in Hong Kong between 1987 and 1992, and in Singapore between 1996 and 2000.
Dillon has worked on a number of high-profile casualty cases involving collisions, groundings, total losses and pollution.
“John has been a much-respected opponent and I’m very pleased to welcome him to the Holmans team,” says London admiralty senior partner James Gosling.
Senior partner Robert Wilson says: “While we continue our development as an international commercial firm, we maintain our commitment to being the number-one firm in shipping law worldwide. This addition to our admiralty and casualty team shows we are moving further ahead on this side of our practice.”
Holmans now has 29 admiralty lawyers.
