Holman Fenwick & Willan has established an informal alliance with newly launched specialist aerospace and commercial practice Gates and Partners.
The aim is for Holman Fenwick’s global offices to assist Gates and Partners in handling aviation disasters. Gates and Partners was established around a month ago by Sean Gates, the former joint senior partner of aviation insurance practice Beaumont and Son. Two other Beaumont partners, Dan Soffin and Adosh Chatrath, have also joined the new firm as partners.
Holmans Fenwick managing partner Greg Gray said the new alliance would enable his firm to move into new areas of aviation law. Holmans has a solid base of US aviation clients, including American Airlines, and recently acted in the case between Iraq Airlines and Kuwait Airways.
