The highest-earning partner at Holman Fenwick Willan took home £1m in the 2010-11 financial year, the firm’s LLP accounts have revealed.

The member with the largest entitlement earned £1.08m, up on the £955,000 scooped by the highest-earning partner in the previous financial year. The equity spread at the firm was £310,000 to £620,000, according to The Lawyer UK200 2011.
Managing partner Greg Gray said: “The figure quoted in our latest LLP accounts is correct and relates to one very high-performingpartner in one of our international offices.”
Average profit per LLP member dropped by just under 8 per cent to £332,000 from £360,000 in 2009-10.
The drop comes at the same time as an 11 per cent increase in the average number of LLP members.
The firm turned over just under £113m in 2010-11, up from £100.6m in 2009-10.

And he deserves every last penny, what a great guy. I just wish he didn't have to pay so much tax on it, it's so unfair and unjust.

If he's smart enough to earn a million in a year, he's surely smart enough to structure his tax payments too.
