Hogan & Hartson and Lovells have passed a final regulatory hurdle in their bid to merge.
The firms attained competition clearance from the Polish authorities after the move was green-lit from counterparts in both Cyprus and Germany.
The merger is expected to go ahead on 1 May, creating a £1bn firm with offices in 24 jurisdictions. The firms recently announced the composition of the Hogan Lovells board, which will be chaired by Lovells senior partner John Young and co-head of Hogan’s Latin America group Claudette Christian.
