This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Hogan Lovells has promoted 24 new partners in offices across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the US.
The number is lower than last year, when 36 lawyers were added to the partnership (3 January 2012). However, it takes the number of partners at the international firm to more than 800.
Five of the partner promotions are in London: Edward Brown in the pensions practice; Jonathan Chertkow in financial institutions; Alex Sciannaca in financial services litigation; John Tillman in litigation, contentious insolvency and fraud; and Sarah Turner in trade secrets and patents.
Corporate leads the way in terms of practice groups with eight of the 24 promotions. There were five in government regulatory, six in litigation, arbitration and employment, three in finance and two in IP.
The jurisdictional spread is 13 in Europe, seven in the US, and four in Asia and the Middle East.
In a joint statement, co-CEOs Warren Gorrell and David Harris said: “These latest promotions are testament to Hogan Lovells’ commitment to recruiting and retaining the best talent in the legal sector and our ongoing investment in the business.
“In addition to acknowledging the hard work of each individual, the promotions demonstrate the depth and quality of Hogan Lovells around the world. On behalf of everyone at Hogan Lovells we’d like to send our congratulations and best wishes to all those who have been promoted.”
