Hogan Lovells and SJ Berwin advise on Parabis deal

Hogan Lovells and SJ Berwin are understood to have won roles advising on the acquisition of a stake in insurance law firm Parabis Group by Duke Street.

SJ Berwin is understood to have advised Duke Street, a longstanding client, fielding relationship partner Tim Wright alongside partner Ed Harris. Wright also advised the group earlier this year on the sale of its investment in Deloro Stellite, a producer of alloy-based materials for extreme environments such as high temperature.

Wright previously advised Duke Street on its sale of pension and employment benefit group Xafinity to Advent International (1 February 2010).

Hogan Lovells banking partner Stuart Brinkworth advised banks RBS, Lloyds, Santander and Ares on the Parabis deal.

Brinkworth, one of The Lawyer’s Hot 100 2011, joined Hogan Lovells from SJ Berwin in 2010.
