Hogan & Hartson has snared Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom's French tax head as a partner in its tax group.
Xenia Legendre, who has worked in Skadden's Paris tax group for 11 years, will focus on French corporate tax and will also expand the firm's activity in Russia.
Strategic development partner for Hogan Paris William Curtin said: "Xenia's substantial tax experience in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions is a significant addition to our expanding presence in Paris."
Hogan's Paris office, which launched in 2004, has 30 lawyers. The US firm has eight European offices in total.
Legendre said: "The firm's tax group in Paris has two partners and one associate and it's definitely keen to expand during the next year."
