Hill Dickinson has broken the £50m turnover barrier for the first time, posting a 16 per cent income rise to £52.5m.
The North West firm saw impressive growth in a number of areas, particularly professional services, employment and company and commercial.
But the marine and claims management departments suffered. Hill Dickinson lost a team of shipping lawyers to Halliwells a year ago, while marine partner Julia Marshall retired from the firm.
Managing partner Peter Jackson said: “What’s pleasing is that we’ve got growth in some of our newer disciplines, but also in old ones.”
Jackson said the firm was still finalising its profits, but that it expected to hit its budget. In 2005 average profit per equity partner was £264,000 on turnover of £45.3m.
