What was your first-ever job?
Can-can dancer at a nightclub in Ibiza.

What was your worst experience as a trainee?
I was sent to collect the senior partner’s car from the pound, having nipped to lunch instead of watching the car.

Where’s the best place to go if you want to find out what’s really going on in the office?
The ladies’ loo.

What time do you usually leave the office?
I can’t say any usual time, but we close at 5pm.

What do you do at weekends?
I’m a taxi driver for my teenager.

What’s your favourite restaurant?
Anywhere with sand between my toes and grilled fish on the barbecue.

If you weren’t a lawyer what would you have been?
In trouble.

Who’s your hero and why?
My friend Jenny – she’s the smartest, wittiest, most intelligent and fun-loving person I know.

What’s the best thing about your job?
Working in a fun atmosphere with great people, doing the work we want to do.

What’s the toughest thing about your job?
Having to tell someone off.

What’s your biggest work/career mistake and what did you learn from it?
Trusting others too much – you have to learn to toughen up a bit.

What car do you drive?
Jaguar XK8 soft top in winter gold (the colour is far more important to a girl than the car).

What book are you currently reading?
The Blood of Flowers by Anita Amirrezvani.

What’s on your iPod?
Everything from Ibiza chill to nightmare stuff because my iPod got mixed up with my teenager’s iPod.

What’s your favourite children’s book?
The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton.

What’s the most exciting deal/case you’ve worked on and why?
Probably the Gulf War syndrome cases. They were unique, as nothing like this had ever happened before.

luxury items would you take?

Lip gloss and a pillow.

What’s the worst partner conference location you’ve attended and why?
The boardroom – you have to get out more.

What’s the longest you’ve worked without sleep?
Forty-eight hours.

If a movie was being made about your life, which actor would play you and why?
Meg Ryan because she’s as dizzy as me.

Who would you least like to be stuck in a lift with and why?
I would have to say another lawyer. Sorry everyone, but we can be a bit of a boring lot.
