I am sick and tired of reading how concerned high street practitioners must be at the reputed continuing success of organisations such as Hambro Countrywide.
My firm has just had its most successful year, our IT is as good as that of many large City firms, our partners (not teams of telephonists), are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and our clients come back every year for advice.
Our fees can match anything that Hambros may try to offer, even if they are, it seems, still running a loss-making operation, which we most certainly are not.
We do not have our "heads in the sand". We continue to fight for, and increase, our market share.
The fact that we are not able to command press coverage such as that appearing in The Lawyer last week is not because we are running scared, but because we are busy providing such acute competition to the likes of Hambro that we do not need a PR exercise to drum up business.
