  • The high profile departures just keep on coming. Herbies profitability is just too far behind other firms and it's only going to get worse after the Freehills merger.

  • Heard that lots of partners weren't supportive of the Freebies merger but management rammed it through anyway. More big fee earners to depart soon. Hard to believe they are still able to con some lateral partners into joining the firm.

  • I bet Jonathon Scott and David Willis probably have poor Martyn locked up in a room right now and are threatening him with the firm's ridiculously long gardening leave and non-compete provisions. Herbies is one of the few remaining firms that threatens to lock its departing partners out of the market for years when they leave. It's the only way they can hold on to their partners.

  • So after spending a year trying to improve profitability the firm's profitability declined by 7%? No wonder all the stars are leaving. Maybe they should have called it Project Greener Pastures.
