  • Herbies' profits have continued to plummet and all of the big fee earners have been heading for the doors the last few years. The pace of departures is only going to increase given their pending merger with Freehills - a third tier firm which is even less profitable than Herbies!

  • The ship is sinking. Those with options are taking them. Quite a few high profile litigation partners have been leaving the last few years starting with Christa Band's departure to Linklaters. Not a good sign for a firm which is supposed to be a litigation powerhouse.

  • Guess he wasn't as excited about the Freehills merger as Jonathon Scott and David Willis are.
