Herbert Smith Brussels gets new managing partner

Herbert Smith has appointed Craig Pouncey as the new managing partner of the firm’s Brussels office.

Pouncey, a competition law specialist is taking over from Stephen Kinsella who has been managing partner since 1994.

Pouncey’s practice encompasses market investigations, litigation, as well as complex merger clearances, including acting for Carnival Corporation on the European Commission’s merger clearance of its £3.5bn hostile bid for P&O Princess Cruises.

He also heads Herbert Smith’s WTO practice.
