Oxford-based Henmans has turned over eight tonnes of client files into household tissues, after a clearout and recycling drive at its old offices in the University town.
The firm is moving offices and has taken the chance to shred and recycle old files that had clogged up its basement.
A Henmans statement exclaimed: “Henmans liberates 125 large trees from former offices.”
The amount of paper is equal to 125 large trees. Henmans shifted the paper from its basement in special sealed wheelie bins to a waiting mobile shredder at a rate of 1,700 kg per hour.
Julia Iball, managing partner, commented, “We are instituting a firmwide community and social responsibility policy, and ensuring that our waste is carefully managed and properly recycled is a part of that.”
How many old documents can your firm recycle? Can you beat Henmans' eight tonnes?
