Hengeler Mueller’s new managing partners to maintain high-end corporate focus

German firm Hengeler Mueller has elected Daniela Favoccia and Matthias Hentzen as its two new managing partners.

Favoccia and Hentzen, both corporate M&A and compliance partners at the firm, will take over on 1 July, succeeding Klaus-Dieter Stephan and Andreas Austmann, who have finished two-year terms.

The pair will maintain the firm’s focus on high-end corporate, M&A and banking and finance, with regulatory, compliance and restructuring work expected to be an increasing source of revenue.

“We’ll be continuing the path Hengeler has had for a while,” said Favoccia. “Any changes we make will depend on market developments. Clients want advice from lawyers who don’t make mistakes and can offer business expertise - Hengeler continues to offer both.”

The pair said they would also continue to focus on the firm’s network of best friend relationships, which includes Slaughter and May in the UK.
Favoccia has been a partner at Hengeler Mueller since 1998, and Hentzen since 1995.
