San Francisco’s Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe has finally kick-started its Asian practice after opening an office in Beijing.
As reported first in The Lawyer last June, Heller Erhman put in application to open a Beijing office in summer 2003.
“Heller Ehrman is clearly committed to Asia and our new office in Beijing will allow us to provide higher quality and more comprehensive services to our clients in China,” said Carson Wen, chair of the firm’s China practice.
The new office, which will be located in China World Tower, follows the expansion of Heller Ehrman’s Hong Kong office last year. Last June it took the bulk of local firm Siao Wen and Leung’s corporate securities, commercial and China practice, comprising 19 lawyers.
