Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe has implemented a top-level reorganisation of its Asian practice, naming a new leader for the region.
Former head of the firm’s Singapore office Richard Cassin has been appointed as regional administrative shareholder of the Asian practice while Carson Wen and Simon Luk have been named as chairs of the China and Hong Kong areas respectively.
The new line-up coincides with a period of expansion for Heller Ehrman in Asia. Last month the firm finally opened an office in Beijing after submitting an application in summer 2003.
While in June last year, Heller Ehrman took on a group of lawyers from Hong Kong firm Siao Wen and Leung, bringing the number of attorneys in the branch to 28.
