Manchester-based Heatons has launched a construction practice in a bid to defy the ailing property market.
The firm has tasked new partner James Flynn, a former Addleshaw Goddard associate, with building the group out of Manchester. The launch comes as other firms such as Cobbetts and Field Fisher Waterhouse move to reduce lawyer numbers in their real estate practices.
Flynn spent seven years at Addleshaws, where he was a managing associate. He said that, despite a difficult market, there was scope to grow the practice in the North West.
