Health and safety partner quits DLA for Eversheds

Eversheds has made a second raid on DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary's regulatory team, hiring partner Kevin McLoughlin for its Leeds office.

In December last year, Eversheds hired DLA Piper regulatory partner Steven Francis and a team of three associates for its London office. Health and Safety solicitor-advocate McLoughlin joins after spending more than 20 years at DLA Piper.

McLoughlin told The Lawyer: "The Eversheds health and safety team has a brand that's so strong that I couldn't pass up this opportunity."

McLoughlin has considerable Crown Court experience and has appeared in the Court of Appeal. Recent cases for the Eversheds regulatory team include the Potters Bar rail crash and the Bloody Sunday inquiries.

DLA Piper Sheffield managing partner Paul Firth said: "Kevin was with us for over 20 years and made a significant contribution to the business and the Sheffield office. Everyone here wishes him well in his new role."
