The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
Less than two years have passed since the split that saw DJ Freeman spin off its media and property practices, rebranding the remaining lawyers as Kendall Freeman. Yet already the firm has celebrated rises in profit and turnover and is enjoying a strong reputation in its niche sectors of insurance and litigation.
Much of the credit for Kendall Freeman’s success has to go to managing partner Laurence Harris. Harris was DJ Freeman’s chief executive and was promptly re-elected once the split was finalised.
He and senior partner David Kendall have steered the firm through its first full year with a steady hand, reporting an increase in average profit per equity partner of 44 per cent to £312,000.
Harris has also begun to expand the firm in strategic areas, recently hiring Kendall Freeman’s first banking partner, Timothy Parsons from Barlow Lyde & Gilbert. Harris has vision and ambition in spades, and he desires to see Kendall Freeman prosper. On his watch, the firm is likely to do so.
