Headed up by Paul Reed QC, Nigel Jones QC and newly appointed chief executive Amanda Illing, Hardwicke Chambers specialises in commercial, insurance, property and private client, and public law. Located at Lincoln’s Inn, each division has a dedicated practice management team but there is much crossover in expertise among the 73 juniors and eight QCs,

Seven of the sets’ eight QCs and 35 juniors practice in the commercial division, the predominant division of the chambers. They cover a diverse range of work, including banking and finance, company law, employment, insolvency and restructuring, and trade. They are led by Paul Reed QC and Nigel Jones QC, both of whom are also leads in the insurance practice.  

New silk Brie Stevens-Hoare QC has doubled Hardwicke’s female QC total to two and is keen to encourage more females to apply for silk. She and John de Waal QC, another new silk, are prominent members of the expanding property and private client practice.

George Pulman QC, along with senior junior barristers Barbara Hewson and David Lawson, are key individuals in the public practice.

Hardwicke was involved in the landmark corporate case VTB Capital Plc v Nutritek & Ors, with Nigel Jones QC representing Nutritek in 2012 in the Court of Appeal.
