Harbottles fights alleged Procul Harum organ transplant

Harbottle & Lewis has become every Heat reader’s favourite law firm, with recent roles advising on the stage version of Dirty Dancing as well as the winner of TV teatime hit How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?.

But the firm may have met its match in the High Court’s most glamorous case of the day. Harbottles is in court defending ’60s prog-rock one-hit wonder Procol Harum against a bloke from Croydon, who claims to have written the distinctive organ line in the band’s one hit A Whiter Shade of Pale.

Harbottles is up against Jens Donal Hills of Jens Hills & Co, who is starting to make a name for himself defending the little man against the mighty music industry.

In September Hills managed to wangle a settlement for London-based producer Richard ‘Diddy’ Dearlove against rap mogul P Diddy, which stopped the US hip hop icon from using his chosen name in the UK.

If Hills can secure such a victory for a man best known for remixing Dolly Parton, then surely he can do it for some bloke from Croydon.
