Hammonds sees four defections at end of lock in

Four partners resigned from Hammonds yesterday after the firm’s lock-in period for the last six months came to an end.

Birmingham partner David Beswick has defected to Eversheds while partners Martin Letza and Amanda Allen have also left the firm’s Birmingham office.

Partner Jay Doraisamy, who headed of the firm’s London pensions practice, has also left the firm.

Hammonds equity partners are able to resign from the firm on two dates during the year - 31 March and 30 September. Fixed share partners are able to resign at any time throughout the year.

The resignations come after asset backed lending partner Chris Willison defected to Blake Lapthorn on Monday (30 March).

In 2008 Hammonds added 11 to its partnership, four of whom were lateral hires. David Adams joined from Browne Jacobson, Monique Sutherland from Eversheds and Thornton Allen from Clarke Willmott.
