Hammonds hires to boost Birmingham

Hammonds is ramping up its Birmingham office with the hire of Eversheds property partner Monique Sutherland.

The news comes as Browne Jacobson banking associate David Adams also joins Hammonds’ partnership in Birmingham, bringing the number of partners in the Midlands office to 26.

Hammonds Birmingham chief Ian Forrest said Sutherland and Adams will add value to the firm’s client service offering.

“David has a strong track record in the local banking market, which will add depth to the firm’s current capability,” said Forrest. “Monique’s specialism in high-level regeneration work and experience of leading complex and varied residential and commercial development projects will build on the firm’s existing thriving ;regeneration practice in the Midlands.”

Sutherland, who leaves Eversheds after almost a decade, was previously an associate at Edge & Ellison, which ;merged ;with Hammonds in 2000.
