Hammonds creates firm network to boost cross-selling of practices

Hammonds has set up a partner and associate forum in its London office designed to aid business development and the cross-selling of practices at the firm.

Equity capital markets partner Andrew Watson and employment partner David Whincup are leading the earners forum, set up by London head Robert Weekes.

Weekes said: “An area that we need to improve in is referring work around the network and between practice groups. The forum gives the opportunity for lawyers to communicate more easily with their colleagues.”

The forum is part of the national firm’s London business plan, which aims to create a more corporate-minded attitude towards business development.

Last week (22 June) The Lawyer reported that Hammonds had appointed partners to liaise with offices in its international network.

Weekes has so far appointed partners responsible for Germany, France, Brussels, Spain and the US. Hammonds is hoping to take on a partner to liaise with operations in China and the Far East.
