North West firm Halliwells is breaking into Liverpool through a merger with Cuff Roberts.
The merger, announced today (November 15), gives Halliwells a foothold in Liverpool, adding to its presence in Manchester, London and Sheffield.
Cuff Roberts has 16 partners and a bias towards commercial property work, although it also carries out commercial litigation and has a strong private client base.
Ian Austin, managing partner at Halliwells, said the firms were convinced that the merger is an ideal tie-up. The merged firm will be called Halliwells and the turnover is expected to exceed £52m.
Austin added that Halliwells will seek further expansion in Liverpool, concentrating on the corporate and property markets.
