Halliwell Landau has won a tender to advise Liverpool City Council on the controversial Kings Dock development in the city
Kings Dock is the future home of Everton Football Club. Everton FC is being advised by DLA, while the North West Development Agency is using Eversheds for its legal work.
The development is expected to cost £300m. There is some private money in the scheme, but Liverpudlians are up in arms as Everton FC reportedly applied for a £35m European Objective One funding for the project.
Halliwells is advising the council on planning and procurement issues. Property partner Rod Waldie said: "We don't know which direction the project will take. Some elements of the work will be done on a fixed fee and some on an hourly rate."
