Halliwell Landau's revenues have bounced up 18 per cent
The firm recorded a turnover of £31m for the 2001/02 financial year, up on £26.3m the year before. Partners at the top of the equity are understood to have taken home £460,000, a good increase on last year's £435,000. However, the bottom of equity pays £130,000, which is exactly the same as the figure recorded in The Lawyer 100 survey last year. Halliwells' equity structure operates under a merit-based system. The firm has 30 equity partners. Last year, Halliwells promoted five new partners to equity. The firm also made five lateral hires to the partnership in the past year. Elliotts former head of insurance litigation John Groome and Hardwick Stallards managing partner Simon Hardwick gained immediate equity status.
