Halliwells buffers exits with corporate hire

Halliwells has appointed a new partner to its London corporate recovery team as others leave the office.
PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal associate Sadaf Buchanan, previously at Clifford Chance, will join later this month. Halliwells managing partner Jonathan Brown said: “We’re currently in talks to appoint a number of senior lawyers for several of our practice areas. While market conditions remain difficult, we’re regaining the initiative and looking forward to the rest of the year.” This comes as Halliwells City corporate recovery partners David Grant and Michael McCarthy are understood to be leaving the firm.
