Leeds-based Gordons Cranswick has shaken up its management structure by appointing a new senior partner.
The role, which up to now has been split between two people, will be taken on by litigation partner John Hall. Former incumbents Richard Wilson and David Coates are quitting the partnership to take up consultancy roles with the firm.
Gordons Cranswick came about a year ago through the merger of Bradford-based Gordons Wright & Wright and Leeds practice Cranswick Watson. Wilson and Coates were senior partners at the respective firms.
The firm now has 25 partners and nearly 50 fee-earners, making it one of the biggest local operations in Yorkshire. As well as offices in Leeds and Bradford, it also has an operation in Keighley.
Hall's appointment will be effective from 1 April. He says: "We've benefited a great deal from the synergy between the two firms and are well positioned to expand on the work we're [doing]."
