Half-year turnover up 11 per cent at Watson Farley

Watson Farley & Williams has posted double-digit revenue growth for the first six months of the 2010-11 financial year.

The firm made £37.6m during the period, up 11 per cent on the comparable period last year, when the firm took in £34m.
Managing partner Michael Greville said: “We’re pleased with the half-year billing, which is comfortably ahead of last year. With a reasonable pipeline of work across the firm for the coming months this appears, so far at least, to be another strong year for the firm.”
WFW has had a successful few years, posting year-end turnover growth of around 10 per cent or more for the past three consecutive years.
At the end of the 2009-10 financial year the figure rose nine per cent to hit £80.2m following a 25 per cent increase in 2008-09 and a nine per cent jump in 2007-08.
Other firms to have announced growth in excess of 10 per cent include Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, which grew by 17 per cent on the back of its acquisition of a team from Halliwells, Wragge & Co, which increased revenues by 15 per cent, and DWF, which saw a 12 per cent increase (10 November 2010).
