German firm hires Thieffry & Associates partner

German firm Haarmann Hemmelrath has strengthened its Shanghai office by recruiting Bruno Lefebure, a partner of Paris-based firm Thieffry & Associates.
Lefebure, 38, managed Thieffry’s Shanghai office for two years until 2002. He specialises in French and European investment in China and joined Haarmann as an associated partner on 1 January.
Lefebure said the move appealed to him “because the network of the firm in Asia, with further offices in Singapore and Tokyo, provides ideal conditions to advise clients [on] the top three competitive markets in Asia”.
Haarmann now has 12 lawyers based in its Shanghai office, which provides an all-round corporate service.
