Group teams up to give development aid

Advocates for International Development, the City pro bono initiative targeted at providing legal advice and assistance within developing countries, launches officially on Wednesday (11 October). More than 20 law firms and chambers have signed up to the initiative and have already provided a combined 7,000 hours pro bono. Participating firms include Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, Herbert Smith, Lovells, Shearman & Sterling and Weil Gotshal Manges.
