Spanish IP boutique Grau Baylos & Angulo has opened an office in the Canary Islands and is moving to larger premises in Barcelona.
The Canaries office will be in Gran Canaria capital Las Palmas and will focus on anti-counterfeiting work.
Barcelona-based Grau has 18 lawyers: 12 in Barcelona, five in Madrid and two in Las Palmas. Its new premises accommodates 20 lawyers, reflecting the firm's ambitions for growth.
Grau, one of Iberia's largest IP firms, was founded in 2003 when partners Jorge Grau, Maria Baylos and Alejandro Angulo joined forces. It specialises in patent, trademark, design and copyright litigation, as well as licensing and unfair competition.
It has clients in the fashion, consumer goods, high-tech, pharmaceutical, sport and leisure industries, including Adidas, Armani, Barcelona Football Club, Burberry, Gant, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Hugo Boss, Nokia, Philips and Timberland.
