Nicholson Graham & Jones is acting for Granada Group on its £20m bid for fish and chip shop chain Harry Ramsden's.The FTSE-100 leisure and media giant has made a full cash offer at nearly 190 pence per share for the UK's oldest fish and chip chain, giving it a value of £20m.Harry Ramsden's is being represented by 21-partner City practice Hamlins. The firm confirms it is acting for the company but declines to comment while the deal is ongoing. It is thought the transaction could be concluded as early as next month. The two companies already have links - Harry Ramsden's provides takeaway food at eight Granada-controlled motorway service stations. It is thought Granada would want to fully incorporate the Harry Ramsden's brand into its 460-strong chain. The fish and chip group, which has a £15.2m market capitalisation, has 65 sites in the UK and eight abroad.Nicholson Graham & Jones was unavailable for comment.
