Taylor Joynson Garrett has recruited a new Bucharest office head from its US ally Graham & James.
The current head, Philip Newhouse, is returning to London. He will be responsible for linking clients in Romania with London and his UK colleagues and clients with Romania.
The new Bucharest head, UK corporate and commercial lawyer Michael Dark, was the managing partner of Graham & James' Riyadh office in Saudi Arabia. His firm agreed to him joining Taylor Joynson when he said he wanted to move back to Europe.
"I talked to a Graham & James partner who said he thought Taylor Joynson Garrett might be looking for someone in Bucharest," Dark said. "The two firms put their heads together and agreed it between themselves."
In April last year Taylor Johnson's Bucharest office hired US attorney Charles Vernon from Graham & James' other Saudi Arabian office, in Jeddah.
