This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
German firm Graf von Westphalen is merging its Munich office with that of fellow local firm Nachmann.
The tie-up will create an office of approximately 35 staff, including 10 partners. Name partner Josef Nachmann will join Graf as an equity partner.
Graf currently has seven partners and eleven associates in Munich and is promoting another two to partnership at the end of this year.
The merger is expected to be completed by April 2012 at the latest.
The news follows the launch of Graf’s new office in Istanbul earlier this year (23 August 2011 http://www.thelawyer.com/germanys-graf-opens-istanbul-office/1008994.article).
Graf teams in Cologne and Freiburg departed in 2010 to set upFriedrich Graf von Westphalen & Partner. Around a third of Graf’s 132 fee-earners joined the spin-off, including 25 partners.
