Canadian firm Gowlings has hired Unilever’s former vice-president legal and global anti-counterfeiting counsel for its London office.
Richard Heath joins Gowlings’ London office as a senior policy adviser in intellectual property, bringing with him expertise in providing strategic advice to blue-chip companies and governments on anti-counterfeiting and brand protection.
Heath will work alongside IP counsel James Tumbridge and will liaise with Gowlings’ offices in Moscow and Canada.

Heath started working at Unilever in 1992 and left in 2010, briefly working as an independent consultant before joining Gowlings.
