Fraudulent emails are being sent from a slippery customer called Paul Redmond, who is trying to cream personal details and cash from people by using the Irwin Mitchell brand.
The firm and the SRA explained that the letters allege the recipient has been involved in distributing fake clothes. There is also a scam doing the rounds with correspondence claiming to be from subsidiary Queen Street Trustees offering large investments or suggesting that the recipient was the beneficiary of an unclaimed estate.
So be advised, if you received a letter from Irwin Mitchell asking for money - it may all be part of a cruel hoax. Unless you’re a client, of course.
